Are you looking for an HOLIDAY HOME on the AMALFI COAST? Try the charming apartment I rent in Erchie, a picturesque, romantic little village on the coast. Believe me, you will love it! It is built on rocky slopes, some fifty meters high above the beach and the splendid balcony overlooks the beauty of the entire bay of Erchie from on high.

The apartment of 95 square meters is within a private, gated property, on two floors. It’s new, comfortable, with elegant modern furniture, very light, sunny with a balcony facing the sea.

Featuring two bedrooms on different floors with comfortable king-size double beds, private toilette for the bedroom upstairs, open space sitting room, kitchen with all appliances dishwasher included, bathroom with combined bath tub-shower, bidet, washing machine, independent central heating, air conditioning, PRIVATE CLOSED GARAGE.

The house is bathed by the sun but, also in hot summers, you will enjoy a pleasant temperature as the sea breeze softly blows at your balcony. Even in winter the climate is lovely thanks to the warm Mediterranean waters and to the high mountains, up to one thousand meters high, that protect Erchie from the northern winds.

When comparing prices with other accommodations on the Amalfi Coast, please, consider that my rental prices (see below) include the house PRIVATE CLOSED GARAGE. On the Coast only a few house rentals include the garage or a parking place. Unfortunately, for the narrowness of the roads, it is not possible to park just along the streets and, depending on the season, an open parking place could cost up to 150 euro per week.

Erchie is not far away from the most famous and crowded tourist centers of the Amalfi coast, but stands by its own, set in a secluded valley that opens up in a dreamy bay of the Mediterranean sea. With a few hundreds inhabitants, mostly fishermen, Erchie is the ideal place for a romantic stay in an exclusive village with a very special charm.

The place is unique in that there is no transit traffic. The only traffic in Erchie is for getting to, or leaving from Erchie. Something really important is that the area around the beach, as a matter of fact, all the southern area of Erchie is not accessible by cars or motorcycles: the total absence of smog and traffic make it a real green oasis.

The heart of the village is the main beach which is surrounded by rocky slopes covered with luxuriant vegetation dispersed with little white houses. Many exclusive beaches and coves where to bathe, dive or take the sun, are hidden along the coast and can be reached only by boat.   

Ask Ignazio to take you by boat to one of these fabulous beaches and tell him when he has to come back to pick you up. The shuttle-boat service will cost you only a few euros. Ignazio has his little boat rental business to the right end of the beach. In Erchie you will find two food stores and three restaurants (not all of them though open the year around).

Erchie is a place where you feel you have stepped back 100 years in time, where you walk three times slower and rush nowhere. Be prepared to embrace ‘il dolce far niente’, the sweetness of doing nothing. Forget your projects and deadlines. And escape to Erchie.

But, I’m sure, you will not want to miss the Amalfi Coast international jet-set holiday resorts.Beloved by artists from everywhere, with their enchanting views, shopping and strolls by the sea, Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano and Ravello are only few kilometres away from Erchie. Capri, the island of the dreams, with its incomparable beauty, can be reached in less than one hour by hydrofoil from the Amalfi harbour. What else? Pompeii, is half an hour drive, Paestum, a little more than one hour. A visit to this world famous locations is a must. Erchie is very well located at the centre of them all.
